The death toll at the College of Agriculure, Gujba ,Yobe State has risen to 78. At least 50 of them were students who were attacked in the early hours of yesterday morning as they slept in their hostel. Some were shot, others were butchered with swords and knives. The gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram sect members later moved to houses around the hostel, killing residents they find. Then they blocked theDamaturu-Maiduguri road and killed travellers. So far, 78 bodies have been counted, with many more people still unaccounted for. A student of the college who survived the massacre explained what happened...
"They started gathering students into groups outside, then they opened fire and killed one group and then moved onto the next group and killed them. It was so terrible. They came with guns around 1a.m. and went directly to the male hostel and opened fire on them. The college is in the bush, so the other students were running around helplessly as guns went off and some of them were shot down.”
The gunmen stormed the hostels in two double-cabin pickup all-terrain vehicles and on motorcycles, and were dressed in military camouflage. They attacked 4 male hostels but avoided the only hostel reserved for girls. Swords and knives were used to kill at least 30 male students. Some corpses that were found were without heads while others had heads hanging to the bodies. Wailing parents and relatives were at the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital mortuary in Damaturu this morning to identify their loved ones. This can't continue. This government has to do something about the situation.

The desire of every young undergraduate in Nigeria is to put on the uniform of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and be addressed as a ‘corper. But fate was very cruel to 24-year-old Augusta Chizoba Ndukwu of Umufu-Amaimo, Ikeduru Local Government area of Imo State. She was gruesomely murdered by unknown persons at Upper Iweka area of the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State.

It was quite sad that Augusta, who had survived a series of hostilities and bombings by the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, in Adamawa State, where she observed her one-year mandatory national youth service, would painfully meet her untimely death in a place she felt was her home.
Her voice was filled with joy when she spoke to her relatives in Owerri on phone, telling them that she had finally come home. She told them that she was at the luxurious park in Upper Iweka, informing them also that she would join them in Owerri the next morning. But she never lived to see the faces of her loved ones, as she was gruesomely murdered by unknown persons that fateful night.
Daily Sun gathered that the deceased, a graduate of Banking and Finance from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Imo State, was found lying in the pool of her own blood at the notorious fly-over at Upper Iweka on September 12.
According to a family member and the Vice Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Imo State Council, Chief Chris Akaraonye, Chizoba left Yola, the capital of Adamawa State on September 11 where she was having her NYSC primary assignment. She was travelling to Onitsha en route Owerri but could not get to her final destination that time because it was already late.
Chief Akaraonye further said the deceased, who had boarded a luxurious bus belonging to a popular transport company (names withheld), called her relatives to inform them that she could not make it again to Owerri. She also informed them that she had decided to pass the night at the company’s motor park together with other passengers. However, according to him, the following day, the family of the deceased, including her fiancĂ©, waited in anxiety for the arrival of Chizoba in Owerri but to no avail. They then started trying her mobile line, but it had been switched off.
“At first, we thought she had a low battery. But after waiting for almost the whole day, we realized it was not usual and we decided to make moves to know why somebody that spoke to us at 10 pm last night could not be reached on phone or could not get to Owerri. In the course of our doubts and fears, we started going through different police stations and Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) formations along the Onitsha-Owerri Road to ascertain if she was involved in a motor accident.
It was when we came to Onitsha that we found her corpse at the Onitsha General Mortuary with gunshot wounds to her chest.” In the next morning, early passersby were shocked to their marrow when they beheld the gory sight of a lady lying in the pool of her own blood at the Upper Iweka axis with two travelling bags filled with children clothing and popcorn. One of the eyewitnesses who pleaded anonymity said that the deceased was a victim of ritual killers.
She confirmed that she was found lying at the Upper Iweka flyover with gunshot wounds on her chest and two travelling bags containing children clothes and popcorn beside her corpse. Though the police swiftly said the deceased could be the victim of an armed robbery attack, they also revealed that the bags were planted by the assailants to divert police investigations, stressing that the police had commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the murder.
The Campaign for Democracy (CD), South East Zone has reacted to the incident, describing it as a sin against God and humanity. The group called for proper investigations into the matter with a view to unravelling the circumstances surrounding the senseless killing of the deceased. The Chairman, South East Zone, Dede Uzor. A. Uzor condemned the act while calling on the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Abubarka to personally detail a crack team of investigative police officers to look into the death of the corps member. Dede Uzor further questioned the omission of the deceased’s name in the passengers’ manifest and the alleged role that the transport company played when they returned the bags of the deceased to Yola without contacting the police.
Also speaking on the incident, Chairman of Ndigbo Unity Forum, Mr. Augustine Chukwudum condemned the act, describing it as the most wicked act and cruelty ever meted out to any corps member in the history of the state. Mr. Chukwudum also said his group would mobilize to make sure that criminal elements are sacked from the commercial city. He said the presence of such criminals was hindering the development of commerce and industry in the city.
However, policemen attached to the Central Police Station, CPS, Onitsha led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Mr. Abdul Yusuf said they have arrested three persons in connection with the death of the corps member, adding that they were still working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the murder of the deceased.
The police said, though, that it could be possible that the girl was murdered at the park by some criminals who then took her body to the Upper Iweka where they kept two bags containing clothes belonging to a boy of six years just to divert police investigations.
According to the police, the deceased was not a victim of ritual killing.
It was further gathered that the driver of the luxury bus that brought the deceased from Yola to Onitsha on that fateful night, the manager of the transport company and one other person whose identities were not yet known as at press time have been arrested by the police.
They were picked up to allegedly help give insight to the death of the corps member as well as explain how and why the management of the company swiftly returned the bags of the deceased to Yola without informing the police.  When contacted, the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ralph Uzoigwe confirmed that three persons have been arrested by the police to help them in the course of investigations.
He appealed to the general public to help the police with more information that could lead to the arrest of the real killers of the corps member.

Insiders claim Kris Jenner set up Lamar Odom to exploit his drug and cheating scandal for their reality show. This is hearsay but read and see if you believe it. Won't put it past them though...

From Crazy Days and Nights Lamar Odom got a message to call Khloe Kardashian. He called her and then she told him to call back in a few minutes. Before he called back she was told by Kris Jenner to get to Kris' house so the call could be filmed.

When Lamar called back Khloe put him on speaker which he wasn't expecting and wasn't expecting the entire family to be listening and involved in the call. Apparently they spilled out every rumor and fact that has been going on with him and his affairs and drug use and said if he went to rehab they wouldn't use the footage but that if he didn't it would show that they all cared about him and did their best.Apparently the reason Khloe dropped the Odom from her Instagram was they are making an episode about the couple getting divorced and her changing it was filmed.

With the Kardashians drama is their lifestyle!

When I saw this pictures I thought I was watching a movie but as I read on it happens to be a true life story. The NollyWood star was practically under the influence of the spirit and what happened even him couldn't control it and the Pastor had to battle with an evil spirit that was in Jim Iyke. Wao Jim God loves you to get you out of the bondage. Most people knowingly or unknowingly are under some form of demonic influence that keeps them away from experiencing a true happy life in God. But thank God for Jim, Please do not let them come back. It will be deadly than the ones you had before.

Like we do medical checks for our physical health, we all need to do some spiritual check from time to time to get rid of that which is trying to get rid of us. I know what am saying, I have been there before. Get that thing out of you, its aim is to destroy your life both here on earth and eternity.

One more time congrats Jim, please stay in Faith!

Flag of NIgeria, Nigerian Flag
Abeg my people let's bless only as Nigeria marks her 53rd birthday. Our words are strong and like it is said we can make or break by the words we speak.

If you know how to speak positively into your life even though you see the contrary then apply the same to Nigeria, I believe we will see what we say concerning Nigeria, then let us say the right things.

Am not against constructive criticism but most times we don't have the time to construct it but with the right words we will construct a New Nigeria, where peace and prosperity reigns!

Nigeria is a green land, a land that is fruitful and feeds it's people. A land of peace and unity and a land of    hon our and glory. I have Nigeria on my mind right now and I pray for her daily that God will truly make our land green! More birthday wishes to Nigeria on Tuesday as she marks her 53rd birthday.

Hi MEBers, can see you are having a great weekend. Always spice up your weekend with an event, it could be a wedding, a family outing, a show, an event or something. It just makes life fun to hangout. So are you at the Tim Godfrey and Extreme crew event right now, as this very promising event is going on right now. Planned to make it but here am I in Abuja and couldn't travel.

The interesting thing about this event is that is holds a message. The Journey Begins, Take Responsiblity is geared towards fighting drug addiction, trafficking and other social ills in our society.

Drug abuse or drug addiction is one of the most vexing and pervasive problems faced by most countries around the world including our beloved Nigeria. The consequences of such addiction, abuse, trafficking or even cultivation can be devastating; unfortunately the youths are the most vulnerable on hard drugs and this brings a lot of adverse effects on the community. Join Tim Godfrey and Xtreme crew in a Broadway Concert. Its time to stand up for what is right and Take Responsibility.

Welldone Bros!

EXTREME WORSHIP With The Family Worship Choir!

Did you miss this worship experience yesterday? Then you missed! But i invited you na so u didnot come! The Worship was extreme, everyone was lost in God's presence, awsome. This is a song section led by the Choir Director. FWC Worship you rock!

worshipers and we sang our hearts to God at the Lifted Hand Concert yesterday. God loves everyone but He is passionately in love with us because we know how to cook His meal well.

Logolistic Logo your label and worship makes alot of sense. Here he is bended backwards in worship as he sings his own composed song Chi Bu Chi. God is God no matter what. This guy put in his all for this concert. He has been working tiredly both on stage and back stage. If we sang on key and got our lines right it's because he thought us. Music Box is my fav name for him. Keep making sense Logo!

Wow, wow, wow, wow was all he screamed as there were not enough or good enough words to describe the awesomeness of God. He stood, bowed, kneeled and prostrated in worship and God came and inhabited. He sang his own composed song and all I can say is wow!

Trailblazers! These guys blazed the trail with their energetic, spirited and creative worship and praise session. This is the FWC youth church choir. These blessed children of God do not just praise God but they have taken praise to another level. Their vocals, attitude, instruments were on point. They got me on this one. Praise and Worship really hits me when it is known excellently, when otherwise i go worship o but............... God truly deserves the best of music in Worship! Tnks Trailblazers.

Khloe has removed her husband's name from her instagram page and now from her Twitter page. 5...4...3...2.. before they announce the divorce...

Meanwhile friends of Lamar insist he didn't send the Tweet that bashed his father for calling out the Kardashians. Sources told TMZ that Lamar Odom is holed up without Internet (by choice) and has no idea his father even gave an interview. So someone else must have sent that Tweet from his account.

When they started they said they were unbreakable and now they are broken, but why? Anyway I thought theirs was true love but they have proven otherwise.

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola yesterday Thursday Sept. 26th apologized to the Igbos over the deportation of destitute from the state to Anambra State a few months back.

Governor Fashola tendered his apology at a ceremony to mark the Silver Jubilee anniversary of Aka Ikenga, an Igbo social-cultural group in Lagos. He said:
“The truth is that I do not have a problem with the Igbos, they know that because the largest herd of cattle I received during my father’s burial came from the Ndigbo. Those people who came under their many colours are not people I have a problem with, they are my kindred and my people. Also, there were people who did not clearly understand me and they have misunderstood words said or misrepresented actions taken in the way that it has pleased them to do so. To those people, I owe an explanation, not a defence of what has happened and that is partly why I am here.
“We have built a relationship based on tolerance, mutual respect, trust and love. That relationship was started by our ancestors, it was handed over to us and we have nourished it with a lot of trust, with a lot of understanding and with a lot of fidelity.

“Those who misunderstand that relationship, think that there is no value in that relationship, I have come here to correct that because I place a lot of value on that relationship. If those people have misunderstood me or they have misunderstood actions taken by our government, here, now and today, I offer an unqualified and unreserved apology."

“Why should people feel compelled to migrate from one place to the other? Is there one part of this country that is less endowed whether in human or natural resource? Is that the problem? Is it the case that perhaps some parts are so endowed or not adequately managed?"

“Those are the honest debates that we must have. The political storm is gathering and allusions have been made to the issues I address, not only by the chairman, but by the President of Ohaneze Ndigbo. How can development be so difficult in the part of Nigeria that gave us Ike Nwachukwu, Chinua Achebe, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Alex Ekwueme and so on, how can development be so difficult in that part of this country? I think those are the real issues.”

“I think we have been in the news of our relationship for the wrong reasons in the last few weeks, but if you listen to the voices of those who speak the loudest, you would see that they do not speak about us, they do not speak about the problems, but about themselves. The majority of us are concerned about how to make it better, that is what concerns us always in Lagos, and it is not an easy decision for me.”

"The pursuit of making it better makes us adopt policies which are always subject to the human text of fallibility”.

Billionaire talk show legend and actress Oprah Winfrey 59, has been dating Stedman Graham, 62, since 1986. That's 27 years - longer than a lot of marriages. Oprah said in an interview recently that although she considered marriage after she attended Tina Turner's wedding in Switzerland in July, she's pretty sure she will leave the world as a woman who 'never got married'

When asked if she would leave earth as a “never-married” woman, Oprah made her feelings very clear. “Yes,” she told Access Hollywood. “Yeah, I think that’s my final answer.”
“I think that it’s interesting that you would ask it because I thought about it again at Tina Turner’s wedding. Because Tina was like, ‘Oprah, you need to do this. You need to do it.’ I was just thinking, ‘Well, OK, would things really be different?’ And no, I don’t think so. If you ever interviewed him (Stedman), he would tell you that had we married, we would not be together today, because he’s a traditional man and this is a very untraditional relationship.”
Oprah also explained that she couldn’t be a wife because the word holds responsibilities she doesn’t feel capable of handling.

Angry passengers yesterday evening Thursday September 26th blocked the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, preventing planes from taking-off or landing.

The passengers, who disembarked from an Arik Air flight, blocked the Abuja runway because the flight they took from Abuja to Calabar was not allowed to land in Calabar around 5.30pm for safety reasons - the runway lightening was poor, forcing the pilot to return the passengers to Abuja.

The passengers now felt the best way to express their anger was to prevent other planes from taking off or landing at the Abuja airport.

Arik Air spokesperson, Mr. Adebanji Ola, said that it was not the airline's fault that the Calabar airport was closed by the time the flight from Abuja got there.

He said,
“The flight was delayed because there was Very Important Personality movement and there was also some weather issues, it is not the fault of the airline that the plane could not land there. We are amazed that despite the security at the Abuja airport, passengers were still able to hijack the aircraft and hold other planes to ransom, that should not be the case.”RE:

When you move into a new apartment and you don't have the money to do the whole flat at a go my advise is fix your bedroom first. When you are in a house and your pa lour is more comfortable than the bedroom do you know what that means wether you believe it or not, visitors are more comfortable in your house than you. I have actually visited lots of houses with this problem. I hardly go into people's bedroom especially married couple. But when i get a chance to a shocker meets me their bedroom is in the state that makes me cry sometimes. I leave the place thinking how can these people be happy for God's sake because most of this rooms am talking about belong to couples.

Right now please do me a favor and believe me you will be happier for it, fix your bedroom first if you stay in a flat.

You say well people visit me and they stay in the parlor so i need to give them an impression or make them comfortable. I agree with that but it will be at an expense - YOU. People will be pleased and you will be displeased, because after a tired day's job, you are going to need your bedroom to ease off . And if you will want to please people, stop trying because you won't. Give you and your family the first chance of a wonderful home ambiance then gradually people can come in. If you disagree please let me know in the comment box.

In fixing your bedroom for singles or married especially for the married, your bedroom must have certain features to make it what it really means.

Your Bedroom should have a bed. As simple as it sounds we all don't get it. I moved into an apartment recently and i didn't have much cash so i thought i was going to be able to sleep on my rug for a while but for where? It didn't add up and the next day a mattress had to show up. I painted, rugged and did some minor decoration forgetting the most important component of a bedroom, but i was quick to learn the lesson. The major aim of a bedroom is for rest. So don't just get a mattress, get a bed and get the nicest of beddings. Move gradually, depending on your budget. But know that you deserve the best and you will get it if you believe it.

More points on fixing your Bedroom coming up tomorrow.

Stay great MEBers and never forget to Dream it, Act it and Live it.

The 4-day siege at Westgate mall in Nairobi, Kenya is finally over. Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta addressed the nation a few hours ago, saying they have defeated the terrorists and arrested eleven of them. The president said three floors of the mall collapsed during clearing efforts and trapped some people. He said Kenyan forces killed 5 terrorists and are currently sweeping the mall for explosives.

Mr Kenyatta said 61 civilians and 6 soldiers were killed in the deadly mall slaughter that started on Saturday, and carried out by Al Qaeda linked militant group, Al Shabaab. Almost 200 people were injured while 65 people are still unaccounted for. The Kenyan president said he can't confirm the nationality of the terrorist. He also declared three days of mourning.

May the souls of the people we lost rest in peace...amen. May we never see this again.

Lamar Odom's father Joe granted an interview to Radar Online yesterday blaming his son’s fall from grace on the Kardashian family. Joe claims marrying Khloe was the worst mistake Lamar ever made.

Joe said: “Someone’s got to speak out, I’ve got to do something about this. It’s simple. They brought him down. He would be better off without them. Let him go and get his life together. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together. The mother has been talking a lot of trash about my son, saying he’s on drugs and stuff like that. She’s got something against my son, something against my family. Kris Jenner is very negative. She’s an evil b*tch. She doesn’t care about Lamar, she just cares about their image and money.”
“I blame Kris in particular, she’s been through a lot of stuff herself. She’s no Cinderella. I can’t really say if the Kardashians are doing drugs, but my son would never use hard drugs. I can’t pinpoint right now who’s giving it him, but I’m going to investigate. The Kardashians haven’t been a good influence on my son. They don’t care about my son. It’s more about the damage they do to the Kardashian brand. They brought him down. He’d be better off without them. Let him go, get his life together.”
Lamar apparently didn't like his 'absent' father's comments and slammed him on twitter, calling the Kardashians his only true family.

"Won't continue 2 speak on this but I have got 2 let this out real quick. I have let this man and many others get away with a lot of shit. He wasn't there 2 raise me. He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons. My mother and grandmother raised me. Queens raised me. For the first time since they left, came a blessing of a FAMILY that I married into. FAMILY. That man wasn't even invited to my wedding. He has never met my mother in law and some of my other family. How can a man who has NOT once called me to check on my well being have the nerve to talk so recklessly about his own "son". He is my downfall! His own demons may be the ONLY thing he gave 2 me. He disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return. They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself. Say what you want about me but leave the ones who have done nothing but protect and love me out of this! This goes to out to everyone!"

Advertising executives on Madison Avenue in New York City have been turned into caricatures of political incorrectness in the popular TV series Mad Men, which follows the adventures of ad executives working in New York in the 1960s. For most of the 20th century, most of the mass advertising campaigns on TV, and in magazines, newspapers and other sources, originated on Madison Avenue. The very words “Madison Avenue” still bring to mind ad campaigns aimed at influencing the buying habits of Americans and the world beyond, but the influence of those mega ad firms has been declining for years. Some large advertising firms have moved, and the titans of new media, Google, Facebook, etc., are far removed from Madison Avenue.

Got a few thousand bucks to drop on a business suit, party dress, or designer handbag? You’ll find all that and more on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. It’s where Hollywood stars shop, and where the millions who idolize Hollywood stars go to watch the stars shop. Tourists are often surprised to find that the heart of Rodeo Drive is only three blocks long, but packed into that real estate and on surrounding streets are some of the biggest names in high-dollar fashion retail: Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Yves Saint-Laurent, Jimmy Choo and more. Of course, many visitors have no intention of dropping $2,000 on a designer handbag, but come for the stargazing opportunities.
Hollywood Boulevard boasts what may be the most famous sidewalks in the world. The Hollywood Walk of Fame features almost 2,500 stars inset into the pavement along a 1.3-mile stretch of the road (some stars are on a couple of adjacent streets). The first eight stars were officially installed in 1960, with Burt Lancaster being the name most recognizable to the current generation. Stars continue to be added, and visitors continue to flock to the walk in staggering numbers — according to one 2003 report, the Hollywood Walk of Fame draws some 10 million annual visitors.
Broadway is the only street on this list that is identifiable with just one word. Countless acting careers have been launched in the theaters on this New York street, and many people have struck it rich merely singing about it — almost two dozen recording artists have covered The Drifters’ 1963 hit On Broadway, most notably George Benson, who took home a Grammy Award for his version of the song. The street itself is the oldest north-south route through Manhattan, tracing its origins to the Native Americans who “sold” the island to the Dutch. Broadway’s history gives it the nod on this list over several other famous New York City streets whose names are familiar to most Americans, notably Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue.

The party never stops on Bourbon Street — even as Hurricane Katrina bore down on New Orleans in 2005, reporters on the scene found hard-core partiers, beer in hand, waiting until the last minute to evacuate.
