Pope Francis truly said this?

But he is the Pope and he is largely looked up to by many Christians both in the orthodox and Pentecostal assembly for spiritual insight. He is one man/pope who is out to break many traditional christain beliefs and open many old “secrets” . Some of the beliefs that are held in the church but contrary to the loving nature of God are now being set aside by the Pope who was recently name The Man of The Year by TIME Magazine.

In his latest revelations, Pope Francis said:
“Through humility, soul searching, and prayerful contemplation we have gained a new understanding of certain dogmas. The church no longer believes in a literal hell where people suffer. This doctrine is incompatible with the infinite love of God. God is not a judge but a friend and a lover of humanity. God seeks not to condemn but only to embrace. Like the fable of Adam and Eve, we see hell as a literary device. Hell is merely a metaphor for the isolated soul, which like all souls ultimately will be united in love with God.” Please click to read after the cut...........

IG of Police laments decline in budgetary allocation says may not be able to pay salaries!

Reporting from News 24:
The Inspector-General (IGP) of Police, Mr Mohammed Abubakar says the Nigeria Police may not be able to pay the salaries of its personnel in 2014 due to a shortfall of N14.4 billion in the personnel cost.

Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja at the 2014 budget Defence in the Senate, the IG said the budget office earmarked N279 billion for personnel cost against N293 billion required to pay the police personnel.
Abubakar lamented the steady decline in budgetary allocations for overhead to the police inspite of the increasing security challenges it had to contend with.

The IG added that the slight increase in the capital expenditure in the 2013 budget was because of the injection of constituency projects.

He, however, noted that out of the N14 billion appropriated for capital expenditure in 2013, only N10.9 billion was released.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police, Sen. Paulinus Igwe ( PDP- Ebonyi) expressed concerns over the reduction in the budgetary allocation for personnel cost particularly at this time of growing insecurity in the country.

He said the committee would assist the police in any way it could.

Suspended CBN Governor challenges his suspension in court!

Reporting from Information Nigeria:
Embattled Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Tuesday, approached a Federal High Court siting in Abuja to challenge the powers of President Goodluck Jonathan to suspend him from office.

During his maiden Presidential Media Chat for 2014, Jonathan insisted that he had ‘absolute’ powers to suspend the CBN Governor from office even without the consent of the Senate.

In the suit he filed through a consortium of lawyers led by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Chief Kola Awodein, Sanusi, told the high court that his purported suspension was as a result of some discrepancies he discovered in respect of amounts remitted to the federation account from the proceed of crude oil sales between the period of January, 2012 and July, 2013.

The suspended CBN Gov insisted that his offence was that upon discovering the financial anomalies, he had cause to inform the National Assembly considering the fact that the revenue of the federation and the national economy was directly affected by the unremitted sum.

He further insisted before the court that his purported suspension by Mr. Jonathan was aimed at punishing him for raising the alarm over how revenue that accrued to the federation was being mismanaged.

Colour rules for decorating small spaces!

Rules! There are actually no rules to anything. Different things apply to different people, event and circumstance, but surely we can all get some guidelines to being and doing better. So can we get some guidelines to making that small space of yours rock! You can actually give a bigger apartment a run for their money. Lol. I have a friend who always like to give an example of a small room with my room and then just few months later she moves into a new apartment and guess what? It is a little smaller than mine. So the next time she tried her small room example game, I just told her mine was bigger than hers and we are living happily ever after.

Truth is that most residential apartment in Abuja are small, and am like what were the Land lords and architects thinking? Is like more rooms will fetch us more money, so lets deny them of the required space just to enrich ourselves. Especially the one room self-contained, boys quarters and even some flats. I love small spaces but when it get really small then there is a problem. Well who says problems can't be solved.

I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what- Lamar Odom

When they tagged their marriage unbreakable and often symbolized it with a handcuff I bet they were not too sure of what they were doing as the marriage was actually breakable following Khloe's file for divorce in December. Many story have been on about issues that led to it but this recent interview reveals he is still in love with Khloe and he is hoping for a come back to his wife. Lamar says there's still hope for his marriage to Khloe Kardashian ... claiming he's not convinced she'll see the divorce through, 2 months after she filed divorce docs.

Odom was doing an interview in Spain -- where he's now playing pro basketball -- and said "only time will tell" if Khloe will finish the job ... though he says he hopes she reconsiders.

Sanusi to challenge his suspension in court!

So Sanusi got suspended after all. The question is does he deserve a suspension or it's all political? This is his reaction reported from Punch. Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Lamido Sanusi, has reacted to his suspension by President Goodluck Jonathan, vowing to head for court to challenge his suspension.

Sanusi, who spoke on CNBC Africa few hours after his suspension on Thursday, said challenging his removal in court was not to ensure that he returned to the office but to preserve the integrity and independence of the apex financial institution.

He equally dismissed the sundry allegations made against his leadership at the CBN, saying the allegations were not new.

Sanusi described his suspension as political, wondering why the Presidency had waited for this long to remove him from office.

HOME INFLUENCE- Decorating to promote societal values(1).

Social values or societal norms play an important role in determining how a person perceives the world and what belief system is adopted. The collective beliefs of a society can greatly influence how a person responds and interacts with the world. Parenting and the views of parents also help determine the attitudes the child will adopt and likely have throughout her life. Now you will be amazed to discover that values are being impacted just by the way we decorate our homes and keep our environment. Often times we attribute certain behaviors to certain locations right, like the slum and urban behaviors. I will be sharing my little knowledge on how to decorate and organize your home in order to promote the right values on the people under your home influence, like I quote severally -charity begins from the home and so is every other virtue.
Values in a country greatly determine the attitudes of the people. For example, According to Napoleon Hill, freedom is ranked as the most desired aspect in life. Freedom to think, speak, believe, live and work as one chooses. Countries with high rate of home and environmental disorder will hinder the populations' ability to have a positive attitude. Whereas the environment in a developed country like the US, encourages individual expression, which gives people hope and forms the right attitude for growth and development.

I didn't label APC 'satanic'- Pastor Bakare

Pastor Tunde Bakare has denied recent reports that he labelled political party APC, 'satanic'

“APC is like a newly opened church of Satan with the evil as a pastor which could not be distinguished by Nigerians from a true living Godly church and hence could be mistaken for a real church, even when it was made of thieves (Legitimate Pen Robbers),” Mr. Bakare, who pastors the Latter Rain Assembly, was reported as saying during a sermon. But his lawyer says he never made such a comment

“The publication which has been shared on other online news platforms and social media has no shred of truth. It is malicious, offensive and intended to disparage our client and cause him embarrassment and public condemnation.”

How Can We Change Nigeria? RenoOmokri speaks on NationalConference!

Another article written by Reno Omokri, Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media.

Now that the modalities for the National Conference have been released, it is clear that this dialogue is going to be a citizens driven discourse which to every true progressive must be very reassuring, because as most married couples know, it spells disaster for a nuptial union if you spend time preparing for a wedding rather than a marriage. A wedding is a day’s event. A marriage is a lifetime affair. And what Nigeria had on the 1st of January 1914 was a wedding.

Recently, I became aware of Brian Tracy's maxim of management which provides that "every minute you spend planning saves ten minutes in execution; this gives you a 1000% Return on Energy".

Tips For a fantastic Valentine's Day At Home!

How busy restaurants, hotels and hangout places can be at festive periods, even valentine's day is not left out. Most times hangouts are not the ideal place for couples with the lots of crowd trying to squeeze in. Your home might just turn out to be that ideal place for valentine.

Let me share some tips on how to spruce up your place for an amazing romantic indoors.

  1.  Lighting is very important for an evening like this. Candles are perfect on Valentine's Day as they create the perfect soft, warm, romantic glow. Fairy lights are a lovely way of setting the mood as well.
  2. Flowers are always welcome on Valentine's Day. It is important to choose fresh rose petals to scatter around your home or place a few small arrangements throughout the house
  3.  Making a comfortable love seat will also help. Make sure you have a throw, a box of chocolates and some wine within arm's length so you don't have to move from each other's arms all evening.
  4. Turn off all modern technologies like the phone and the television.
  5. Change the place of dining. A rug on the living room floor will be nice for a romantic picnic.
Do have for yourself a fantastic valentine's day and life.
