#Soludo'sArticle: Iyabo Obasanjo has this to say....

Read her article below ...

Professor Soludo’s article on the elections in Nigeria is the best writing I have read recently on the real situation politically and economically in Nigeria. The well-articulated response from Dr. Fayemi compared to the abuse infused response from Femi Fani-Kayode on the PDP side is a great example of the contrast of the status-quo compared to the alternative.

Whatever the case and I don’t expect miracles form APC but right now they have more thinking people than the PDP. Continue....

#BEAVoice - Nigerians Speak Up Against Electoral Violence, a must read.

Speak up against Electoral Violence.

Hey dear, i heard my friend call out to me and in my usual excited response to hear her voice, i answered dearest how far? The next thing she said, got me thinking- We are relocating to South Africa, yes me and my family, my husband have made all arrangements and it will be happening soon. What! Why? It's just a family decision was her response. Well, who am I to question a family's relocating decision. More so, there seems to be greener pastures outside the greened country Nigeria and SA, a good place to live I think. Abeg hand over things before you leave o, and as I pen down this conversation she is out of the country. Like Andrew, she checked out of the troubled country, and coincidentally it happened barely a month before the February 14th Presidential election.Continue.......

Okonjo Iweala\s response to former CBN Gov. Charles Soludo's article.

Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has responded to former CBN governor Charles Soludo's article titled Buhari Vs Jonathan. Read her lengthy response below:

1. For anyone who has not read Professor Charles Soludo’s article on January 25 2015, I would encourage them to do so. It is littered with abusive and unbecoming language. It shows how an embittered loser in the Nigerian political space can get so derailed that they commit intellectual harakiri by deliberately misquoting economic facts and maliciously turning statistics on their head to justify a hatchet job. We hope all the intellectuals in the international circles in which Professor Soludo has told us he flies around in will read what a Professor of Economics has chosen to do with his intellect. GMB and GEJ political billboards pulled down in Ghana.

Ghana’s National Security Agency has ordered presidential campaign billboards of the PDP and the APC to be pulled down. The bill boards were pulled down by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly over the weekend.

According to Ladun Liadi's post, it is said in some quarters that Ghanaians were fearful of being drawn into Nigerian politics as they may incur the wrath of the dreadful terror sect Boko Haram.

“I think it is critical that the National Security and Accra Metropolitan Assembly have listened to the concerns and voices raised by ordinary citizens that these billboards and some level of active political engagement might pose potential threat in the future,” a Ghanaian security expert, Dr. Kwesi Annin said.

However, International relationship experts are of the opinion that Ghana should not support any candidate over the other as this may result to a mar in diplomatic relations.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate for Ado/Opoku/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in Benue State, Christian Adabah Abah, as winner of the February 14, 2015 general elections.

According to Vanguard news INEC also disqualified seven governorship candidates from various parties from participating in the February 28 governorship election for failing to nominate their running mates.

Explaining reasons for declaring Abah winner for the election that was yet to hold, INEC said it was because he (Abah) is the sole candidate seeking election into the House of Representative election.

Nigeria in desperate times: What should we the citizens do?- Bobby Udoh

Hello great viewer. Not doing much blogging this week but will be showing up from time to time to make a post. Work is on-going to be more consistent and effective in keeping you informed, entertained and inspired.

Meanwhile, I found this article written by Bobby Udoh a renowned Nation-Builder very helpful at this critical time in our Nation. Nigeria is at a verge where all Nigerians must work for her survival, and I am a strong believer in being the change I want to see. Putting the 2nd part of my write up "15 Ways to be the change you want to see in Nigeria" together, and it will soon be published on this blog. Bobby shares my thought on some of the points I shared in the article. Below lets read from Bobby and don't forget to be the change you want to see.

For several years now, I have written numerous articles seeking to stir up a critical mass of citizens to get involved in nation-building. Those were in the days we were selling a barrel of crude oil, our main source of income, for over $100 (an oil boom). Well, crude oil prices are falling and as such, we as a nation are facing desperate times. Continue
