"Nigerians belong to you" - A congratulatory message to President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) by Gideon Ajogi.

From the short-lived and uneventful regime of Abdusalam which culminated into an election, to the highhanded tendencies of Obasanjo, to the quiet demur but strategic gem of Yar’adua, to the business- as- usual attitude of Goodluck, the country called Nigeria has witnessed myriads of successive democratic changes from the days of yore. However, none of these changes was as sought after by Nigerians as the change from GEJ to PMB.

As we congratulate you in your hour of triumph and ascension to power, we want to remind you that the burden of change -which incidentally was your campaign slogan- is enormous. Change should not be seen in the context of ‘’change from GEJ to PMB’’. The Change Nigerians sought when we voted for you is a change from a government of ‘’business – as – usual’’ to a government of the people, for the people and by the people.

Have never heard or seen Nigerians clamor for Change like have been witnessed in recent times. The opposition party ÄPC were very strategic and only picked their "Change" campaign slogan after feeling the heart beat of Nigerians. You didn't need a doctor's thermometer to have felt the intense cry for change in the heart of Nigerians. The State of the Nation was nothing that gives hope, lives were been lost daily to insurgents and other societal crime, corruption became the order of the day, social amenities on decline and the government of the day was laden with anti public statements and policies. Advocating for change was a  natural response for all the troubles.

The Rivers State Governor-elect, Chief Nyesom Wike, has said he would probe the outgoing governor when he gets into office. He gave this hint while receiving the interim report of the Transition Committee in Port Harcourt yesterday, where he declared that his administration would carry out a forensic audit of all government accounts. Wike says the forensic audit will help him recover funds that might have allegedly been stolen by top officials of the outgoing administration in the state. Read his statement after the cut........

Time for Change - You'll be glad you read this- #Hangouts4Change.

Every successful person has a story. And if you listen closely, their stories have a common thread. They typically involve a huge, insurmountable obstacle. Using resources they never knew they had, against all odds, they managed to overcome that situation and turn it around. It didn’t matter what the obstacle was — could have been their childhood, tragedy, debt, health — they had a compelling reason to get out of it. They had a huge “why” that needed a breakthrough.

You’re hungry for something, you’re at that same place in your life. You’re facing an obstacle — could be finances, health, whatever. You want something more for yourself, a better life, a bigger destiny but the world around us isn’t getting any easier, more peaceful or less challenging. The thing to remember is, like the successful heroes who came before us, they stood at the cusp of greatness and they found a way. They found a way to be better, do more, and change their circumstances. They discovered a truth — bigger the “why”, the easier the “how”. Continue

Orubebe takes another alleged "Orubelious" step and here is what Nigerians are saying.....

I know there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics. I also know of many defections to APC which is soon set to be the ruling party, but Godsday P. Orubebe's defection if true, is a rather shameful and shocking one. It's barely 2 months after his "Jega must go" fight, which he displayed before the world during the presidential election result collation and announcement. The former Niger Delta minister took to Twitter this morning to announce plans to defect from PDP to APC. Of course, Nigerians had something to say about it. While some think his twitter account was hacked, others wondered where he was when God was sharing shame. lol. Read the comments after the cut..

Victory Trekker attack Omotola on twitter for her derogatory view on #Trekkers.

#Trekking have become a trend in Nigeria as the result of a good number of people, mostly youths who have engaged in one form of victory trek or the other. Trekking an unreasonable distance have not just become a career for many, it has also become the alternative means of mobility since the fuel scarcity in most State of the federation have deepened. Many have been compelled to trek distances, they would usually not trek.

However, a few days ago, Omotola tweeted that youths embarking on trekking for politicians are trekking their futures away. Mehn, that is cruel! Even though she could be making a positive point, she definitely stepped on some toes. Oladele Nihi, one of the trekkers replied Omosexy today, continue to read what he said:........

Nigeria in desperate times: What should we the citizens do?- Bobby Udoh

Hello great viewers. Not doing much blogging this week but will be showing up from time to time to make a post. Work is on-going to be more consistent and effective in keeping you informed, entertained and inspired.

Meanwhile, I found this article written by Bobby Udoh a renowned Nation-Builder very helpful at this critical time in our Nation. Nigeria is at the verge where all Nigerians must work for her survival, and I am a strong believer in being the change I want to see. Putting the 3rd part of my write up "15 Ways to be the change you want to see in Nigeria" together, and it will soon be published on this blog. Bobby shares my thought on some of the points I shared in the article. Below lets read from Bobby and don't forget to be the change you want to see.

For several years now, I have written numerous articles seeking to stir up a critical mass of citizens to get involved in nation-building. Those were in the days we were selling a barrel of crude oil, our main source of income, for over $100 (an oil boom). Well, crude oil prices are falling and as such, we as a nation are facing desperate times. Continue
