Things’re difficult now, but APC’ll turn things around – Udoma

The new Minister of National Planning and Budgeting, Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma on Thursday in Abuja said he will drive the Change agenda of the present administration through exemplary leadership and strategic planning.

Udoma, who spoke on Thursday at a reception organised in his honour by the management of National Planning Commission (NPC) said he was in hurry to bring change to Nigerians, adding that he would make sure that the confidence reposed on him will not be misplaced.

He further expressed his commitment to drive a transparent and open government through his strategic planning and budgeting.

‘‘We will lead by example. As we all know, these are challenging times in our country and challenging times of the economy. But we are confident that we can turn things around. But it requires handwork.

‘‘People are waiting for us, we are coming to work, starting today and have no time to waste because budget has to be finalized. But we are confident and will make sure that the confidence reposed in us by the President will not be misplaced.

‘‘Change is coming, things are going to get better, yes things are difficult now. But we will turn things around.’’
