I picked up my favorite quote in the world and have made it my blog slogan. It's a quote by Mahatma Gandhi - "Be The Change You Want To See In The World." I have added a little twist to that and have highlighted 15 ways to be the change you want to see in Nigeria. Published them on this blog, and it's being my major drive. As the first month of the year ends, thought to do a reminder so we could all be inspired to be a better citizen. Read them below:

2. Pray for Nigeria- The worst situation, can change under the power of prayer. I, particularly believe, Nigeria have survived the worse of leadership and circumstance by the making of the many Nigerians who went on their knees in their homes, churches, mosques, communities and prayed for her . #HaveYouPrayedForNigeriaToday

MustRead: Plunging Naira - before you blame Emefiele look at yourself.

It is either I do not understand economics and how exchange rates work or a vast majority of us Nigerians still don’t get how we have wrecked our country with our own curious choices. Just this morning I was listening to the radio and the lady on air went on and on about how she thought CBN governor Godwin Emefiele was incompetent and should be sacked because the naira was now exchanging at 309 or so to the USD. That view pretty much echoes the sentiments expressed by many people I know and it amazes me that there are Nigerians who actually think there is some magic POLICY that can make the naira strong in the near term. If my economics and my understanding of the way the world works are right, then that is as far from the truth as Jesus Christ is black. Continue.......

Rice is about the commonest, cheapest and easiest staple food prepared not only by Nigerian households but in most parts of the world as well.

Indeed, statistics from the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) indicate that half the world’s population eats rice every day, making the staple a major source of nutrition for billions of people.

But recent studies have associated the much-loved staple with rise in chronic and degenerative diseases such as cancer, diabetes, gastrointestinal problems, depression, developmental problems in children, heart disease and nervous system damage. However, most worrisome are lung and bladder cancers.
