Recap: 15 ways to be the change you want to see in Nigeria.

I picked up my favorite quote in the world and made it my blog slogan. It's a quote by Mahatma Gandhi - "Be The Change You Want To See In The World." I have added a little twist to that and highlighted 15 ways to be the change you want to see in Nigeria. Published 15 of them on this blog already. Below is the recap:

1. Daily thank God for Nigeria- As simple as it sounds, how many Nigerians wake up everyday and say thank you God for my home- Nigeria. Bad as Nigeria seems, it still provides a space on this universe where you call your Nation. In the midst of all her troubles, Nigeria still stands. #ThankGodForNigeria.

Photo: The Train, The People And their President.

As Nigeria president peeps through the window of the newly commissioned train, he is greeted by myriad of Nigerians who are probably jobless and suffering from the dwindling state of the country's economy, but who are resilient enough to put up a smile and a wave to President Buhari who lifts up his fist to hail them.

This happened during a ride from Idu to Kubwa after he officially commissioned the Abuja-Kaduna railway.

While celebrating the new improvement in Nigeria's transportation, the picture speaks volume. The people are still hopeful that President Buhari is on a journey that will better the lives of the people. Will he? More on this soon.........

Add Value to Yourself -Reno Omokri's inspiration on #RenoTuesdayNugget

Add value to yourself by reading good books, to others by speaking good words and to things by using them for good. Befriend progressive thinkers and you will progress with them. Befriend destructive critics and you will go down with them. A person who grew up with you, or went to the same school as you is someone you know. It is not the same thing as friendship. Finally, you can't outlive the bad things that ever happened to you if you keep reliving them. Outlive them by moving on despite them. After all, if you want a healthy body you must eat healthy food. If you want a healthy mind, you must also think healthy thoughts #RenosTuesdayNugget

Click for a flight in a made in Nigeria helicopter.

You must be very daring to have clicked this post for a flight in a made in Nigeria helicopter, really daring!

As scary as it sounds, 25-year-old University student from Kaduna, Mubarak Abdullahi think it's possible as he has built a helicopter in Nigeria that can allegedly fly up to seven feet. The people who shared the info on Facebook claim he used scrap aluminum and parts from a Honda Civic, an old Toyota and from the remains of a crashed Boeing 747 to build it.

Nigerians are sure creative, a little support from government and other stakeholders can herald a boom in Nigeria's manufacturing industry. A considerable effort is  made so far by the present government to encourage  patronage of made in Nigeria goods to build our economy, policies need to be made to back this up. The young man's effort in building this Lagos taxi looking helicopter is commendable.  See another photo after the cut..........
