TURKISH COLLEGE KIDNAP: Victims starve as kidnappers run out of foodstuffs and why they have not been released.

Indication emerged yesterday that kidnapped students and staff of the Nigerian Turkish International School, NTIC were starving , as the camp where they are kept had run out of foodstuffs. 

It was gathered that the person who used to supply food to the kidnappers den had not been seen since Saturday. According to Vanguard source, the food supplier had been arrested, another said that he disappeared with some foodstuffs he was to supply Saturday night, apparently to avoid being nabbed by the Police who mounted surveillance around the den. 

As at yesterday, a man suspected to be an informant to kidnappers of the students and staff of the NTIC was arrested by members of the Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, around Riverview estate in Isheri area. The informant, popularly known as Turkey, was allegedly scooping information from the school, to the kidnappers in their hideout. 

OPC members around Riverview estate who suspected his movement, apprehended and handed him over to the Police in Ogun state. The suspect, before his arrest, was reportedly trailed to a bush where he took refuge when he sensed that he was being monitored

Meanwhile victims of the Turkish school kidnap are yet to be released due to perceived surveillance placed by security men around the base of the kidnappers. However a huge ransom have been paid for their release.
