15 ways to be the change you want to see in Nigeria- Pt1

This is a quick reminder that we need to take responsibility for the change we want to see, that's the only way we can effect meaningful change for ourselves, community and nation.

If complaining were a course, all Nigerians will have a degree in it. If it can build anything, Nigeria will be a great Nation now, but here we are, in the same mess we've been complaining about. Many years later and my(our) complaining have brought us more to complain about. So here is the Game Changer, let's try it the other way. Instead of complaining, let's #BeTheChange and watch out for a different result. Albert Einstein said 'We can't keep doing the same thing expecting a different result.' And Gandhi really did help, when he said 'We each can be the change, we want to see in our Nation.'

Nigerian Army is not known for cowardly behaviour, Burutai says as he assures Nigerians ‘absolute victory’ over Boko Haram.

Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai today, Friday assured Nigerians of ‘absolute victory’ over the terrorist group Boko Haram.

Boko Haram, since 2012 have carried out series of attacks on Nigerian communities, displacing, abducting and killing scores of the Nigeria citizens. The insurgency group has killed over 20,000 people and has left an estimated 2.4 million people displaced.

“We have achieved great successes over the BHTs (Boko Haram terrorists). Thus, absolute and conclusive victory is just inches away. Let us therefore not relent in our gallant efforts and draw back the hands of the clock,” Buratai said in a statement.

Nineteen Ways to Promote Peace in Our World

Following series of war and crisis from around the world, it is difficult to think of much else besides desperate thoughts about how to protect our world’s children and how to make our society a more peaceful, less violent place. Enough has been written about violence everywhere that I don’t feel the need to rehash the horrific details or postulate what could drive a human being to harm or kill their fellow humans (whether or not in light of mental illness, albeit that the presence or absence of such an illness plays a large role in how this event is interpreted).
